The Nigerian entertainment industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of popular Yoruba actor Adeshina Okiki, widely known by his stage name Janmole, after he was involved in a fatal road accident.
News of the actor’s passing was confirmed on Tuesday by the President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin.
In a post shared on Instagram, Mr Latin disclosed that Janmole lost his life as a result of injuries sustained in the tragic crash. He expressed deep sorrow over the actor’s death and extended condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues within the entertainment industry.
“May the soul of our departed colleague, Adesina Okiki Janmole, who tragically lost his life in an accident, rest in perfect peace,” he wrote.
“May God grant his family, friends, and colleagues the strength and comfort to bear this irreparable loss. He will be greatly missed. Amen.”
