Yobe Govt Denies Approving N70,000 Minimum Wage

Yobe State government has denied a false and misleading post on social media alleging the approval of ₦70,000 minimum wage.

A statement signed by the Director-General of Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed said the state government did not issue any statement on minimum wage, as it is still working on it and would provide speak on it soon.

The statement added that it is grossly irresponsible, pre-emptive and misleading for anyone to unofficially speak or post any statement for, or on  behalf of the state government.

It said the post failed to provide details nor indicate when and where the statement emanated from, making the content professionally discredited.

The public is therefore advised to disregard the mischievous and misleading post, as you will be furnished with official and credible statement from government.
