Immediate past Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu has congratulated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kogi State over what she described as a peaceful and successful State Congress.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Aliyu praised the conduct of the exercise, saying it demonstrated the party’s commitment to internal democracy and unity in the state.
She also congratulated the newly elected State Executive Committee members, urging them to justify the confidence reposed in them and to strengthen party structures ahead of future political contests.
“I wish to extend my most heartfelt congratulations to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and the entire All Progressives Congress (APC) chapter on the conduct of a remarkably peaceful and successful State Congress.
“This exercise has once again demonstrated our party’s commitment to internal democracy and serves as a shining example of the unity and discipline that define the APC family in Kogi State.
“To our newly elected State Executive Committee members, I offer my warmest congratulations on your well-deserved victory. Your emergence is a clear reflection of the trust and confidence our party members have in your leadership, and I have no doubt that you will carry this mantle with the integrity and passion required for such a significant responsibility,” she said.
Aliyu urged party members to remain united and focused as preparations begin towards retaining power in 2027, expressing confidence that the APC would continue to lead Kogi State towards stability and prosperity.
