President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, will honour a total of 210 former members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at the upcoming President’s NYSC Honours Award ceremony for the 2020 to 2023 service years.
According to a statement issued on Saturday by the Director of Media Emeka Rems Mgbemena, on behalf of NYSC Management, the event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The ceremony will commence at 11:00 a.m., and attendance is strictly by invitation.
The awardees include 200 ex-Corps Members who distinguished themselves in the four cardinal programmes of the NYSC: Orientation Course, Primary Assignment, Community Development Service, and Winding-Up/Passing-Out during their service years.
In addition, under the NYSC Hope Alive Initiative, ten (10) former Corps Members who sustained various degrees of permanent disability while serving their country will also be specially recognised by the President.
The Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande; the Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Akinmeji Nafiu; and the entire NYSC management have extended a warm welcome to the award recipients and invited guests.
