ppppThe PBAT Door-to-Door Movement has declared unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pledging to mobilise millions of Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during activities marking the build-up to the 2026 National Convention of the All Progressives Congress, the National Coordinator of the group, Adekanbi Sunday Asuku, said Nigeria’s progress depends on continuity in leadership.
He emphasised that “the choice before Nigerians is Tinubu or Tinubu,” arguing that the current administration inherited longstanding structural challenges that require more time and sustained policies to resolve.
According to him, the movement has already commenced nationwide mobilisation across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with a strong focus on grassroots engagement through door-to-door campaigns. He revealed that branded campaign vehicles and trained volunteers are currently being deployed, with plans to scale up operations in the coming months.
Describing the initiative as a “movement of the masses,” Asuku noted that the strategy is designed to connect directly with ordinary Nigerians rather than relying solely on elite endorsements. He added that ongoing government reforms and programmes indicate measurable progress that should be consolidated beyond the present administration.
The message, he said, was delivered on behalf of High Chief Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, who serves as the grand patron and founder of the movement. Tompolo reaffirmed the group’s commitment to securing President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
He also called on Nigerians to actively participate in the electoral process, describing the forthcoming election as a defining moment for the nation’s future.
The group expressed confidence that its mobilisation drive would expand significantly nationwide as the election draws closer, positioning itself as a key grassroots force ahead of the polls.
