Impactful Governance: Ex-House of Reps Member Welcomes President Tinubu to Imo State on a Visit

Honourable Chidi Nwogu, former member of the House of Representatives for Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele Federal Constituency and current member of the Governing Council of the African Aviation and Aerospace University, Abuja, has joined the government and good people of Imo State in extending a warm welcome to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), on his official visit to Imo State.

President  Tinubu is visiting the south-eastern state today, Tuesday, 30 September, to commission some projects completed by Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration.

In a statement he personally signed on Teusday Hon. Nwogu stated: “On behalf of my family and constituents, I wish to heartily welcome Mr. President to Imo State. 

“I also commend His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma (GCON), for his relentless efforts in driving progressive and impactful governance across the state.”

Hon. Nwogu noted that this visit stands out not just as a routine presidential engagement, but as a landmark event marked by the launch of a significant publication titled “A Decade of Progressive and Impactful Governance in Nigeria” authored by Governor Uzodinma himself. 

“Additionally, the visit will witness the commissioning of several high-impact, legacy projects across the state, including:

Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Center, Assumpta Cathedral Interchange (Flyover), Owerri–Obowo–Umuahia Expressway, Owerri–Okigwe Expressway and Owerri–Orlu Expressway.

He further expressed hope that the President’s visit will serve as a source of encouragement and momentum for the Uzodinma-led administration to complete ongoing infrastructure projects and initiate new ones aimed at transforming the state.

“We are proud of the visible strides Imo State is making under Governor Uzodinma. It is our collective prayer that this presidential visit will further propel our state towards even greater progress,” he added.
