Recent crisis involving the National Assembly member, representing Lavun, Edati and Mokwa Federal Constituency in Niger State, Dr. Joshua Audu Gana was orchestrated by desperate and mischievous politicians bent on causing confusion for their selfish gains.
The Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mokwa Local Government Area of of the state, Kukpanti, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Minna, the state capital over the weekend.
He expressed dismay over the attitude of some respected individuals in the party trying to cause chaos before defecting from PDP to other political parties, stressing that such act is condemnable.
Alh Suleman Kukpanti pointed out that “Nobody is against anybody defecting to another political party of their choice, but should such should exhibit act of maturity instead to resorting to verbal comments against a highly respected National Assembly member, who has been committed to the wellbeing of the people.
“I have been a PDP member for over 20 years and cannot move to any other political party for the fact that PDP has laid a good foundation in governance compared to other political parties governing the country till now.
“It is an act of ungratefulness and greed for one to be shuttling between different political parties, this singular act by politicians have been the bane of democracy due to the pursuit of materialistic things”, he said.
On the report of what transpires during the visit of Dr Joshua, the PDP Chairman decried the sectional and unfavorable media report as inimical to the doctrines of Journalism.
“Joshua was quoted out of context. We are proud to have him as our representative, first of it’s kind in the National Assembly because he has reached out to many communities in Kudu, Ibba, Gbajibo, Kukpanti, Ezhi, Kpautagi, Takuma and Muwo, l and many others benefited from motorised drinking water, and Electrification projects in Mokwa Local Government Area.
“Most of the schools also benefited from the provision of learning materials. Recently, he flagged off the renovation of schools along with the distribution of exercise books, staff, chairs tables and other essential materials for learning,
“Joshua also empowered over 100 women and youths with sewing machines and skills acquisition to enhance self reliance and boost economic stability across the three local government areas”, Kukpanti re-emphasised.
