APC Deputy State Chair Engages Ukelle Stakeholders, Youths in Abuja

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy State Chairman in Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ogana Lukpata,last week hosted and actively engage with Ukelle stakeholders as well as youth groups in Abuja.
The event coincide with Governor, Bassey Out’s, third anniversary in office marking three years of his “People First” agenda.


The administration commemorated the milestone with an official Abuja Town Hall Meeting that featured presentations on achievements across key sectors
These strategic gatherings primarily focus on aligning political goals, strengthening party unity, and garnering support for Governor Bassey Otu’s administration.


The gathering follows his recent election via a consensus approach during the APC Cross River State Congress under the leadership of Governor Senator Prince Bassey Edet Out.
The Ukelle Leadership Forum in Abuja and political stakeholders used the avenue to appreciate the state leadership for zoning the influential APC No. 2 position to an Ukelle indigene.


The atmosphere was filled with excitement as a massive crowd of supporters trooped out in solidarity, reaffirming their confidence in the leadership Of Rt. Hon. Dr. Ogana Lukpata, and the vision of the APC in Cross River State.


Leaders and community representatives at the event strongly reaffirmed their solidarity and explicitly endorsed Governor Bassey Otu and Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, Dist Sen Jarigbe Agom and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of 2027,for a second term in office ahead of the 2027 elections, citing the administration’s “People First” agenda and ongoing infrastructure developments in the northern senatorial district.


During the meeting, he urged the group to remain steadfast in their support for the APC under leadership of H.E. Governor Bassey Otu, .


He further charged all stakeholders to do their best to move Cross River State forward.


The political momentum generated by his leadership has additionally seen notable defections, with former opposition party members officially crossing over to join the ruling APC fold in Yala Local Government Area


The gathering avail the leader the opportunity to Discuss party unity, grassroots mobilization, and solidify support across the various wards of the Ukelle nation.


He said Engagement with government officials to ensure that infrastructure and job creation remain at the forefront of the state’s agenda.

Party leaders expressed optimism that the leadership of Ukelle Ka Abuja will contribute in deepening internal cohesion and strengthen the party’s structure ahead of future political engagements.


Party stakeholders used the gathering to mobilize grassroots support and build structural momentum to deliver massive votes for Governor Otu’s administration ahead of the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Hon. Ogana Lukpata, is an illustrious son of the Ukelle Nation in Yala LGA, serves as the Deputy State Chairman of the APC.


During his engagements, he has consistently been tasked by his constituents and stakeholders to lobby for job placements, assist youths with enlistment into military/paramilitary organizations, and promote infrastructure in the Community.


He has continue to maintain a strong alliance with top Cross River politicians, including Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, to ensure that the Ukelle Nation is carried along in the current state administration.


His engagements have been praised for fostering unity among the youths in his constituency.


Before his election as APC Deputy State Chairman alongside State Chairman Hon. Christopher Etta, Rt Hon. Ogana Lukpata had Previously served as a two-term lawmaker representing the Yala II State Constituency (Ukelle) in the Cross River State House of Assembly, where he held positions including Chairman of the Committee on Judiciary and Deputy Whip. A legal practitioner (Barrister at Law) and holds a Doctorate degree.
