Anambra: Police, Public Complaints Commission Strengthen Ties

Anambra State Police Command has expressed commitment to strengthen ties with the Public Complaint Commission, PCC, in order to ensure professionalism in policing in Nigeria.

The Police Commissioner, Ikioye Orutugu made this known when he hosted officials from the PCC at the command headquarters in Awka.

The commissioner emphasised the importance of accountability and professionalism in policing, assuring PCC of the command’s commitment to transparency and citizen-centric service delivery.

Orutugu disclosed that the command is committed to strengthening police-public relations and foster synergy between law enforcement and oversight bodies.

Addressing the police boss, the PCC Commissioner, Mr Emmanuel Muoka pledged the commission’s readiness to collaborate with the police to address complaints promptly and fairly.

The visit is part of an initiative to promote institutional collaboration, transparency and effective complaint redress mechanisms.

Orutugu reaffirmed the command’s commitment to build trust, justice and community safety in Anambra State.
