Founder of Air Warriors Basketball Club, Alhaji Abdulmajid Solademi, on Thursday hosted players, journalists, friends, and family members at his Abuja residence to celebrate the Salah festival while preaching love, peace, unity, and harmony among Nigerians.

Speaking during the gathering on Thursday in Abuja, Alhaji Solademi stressed the importance of togetherness, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence as key teachings of Allah, urging Nigerians to continue to live in peace despite differences in religion and ethnicity.

According to him, the celebration period should also serve as a moment of reflection on the teachings of various religions, especially the need to love one another and work collectively for the progress of the nation.

“We thank Almighty Allah for sustaining us to witness another celebration like this. Life itself is a privilege, and we must continue to appreciate God for keeping us alive,” he said.

“Nigeria is our home, and there is no other place that can truly replace it for us. We all have a responsibility to make the country better, where everyone can live peacefully, properties are respected, and people value one another,” he added.

Speaking on his basketball club, the Air Warriors founder reiterated his commitment to youth and girl-child development through sports, noting that the club remains focused on building responsible young female athletes capable of excelling in life and basketball.

“We are already preparing seriously for the season. Our dream is to continue building these girls into responsible individuals who will not only succeed in basketball but also become valuable to their families and the nation,” he stated.

He further revealed plans to assemble a formidable team capable of restoring the club’s glory in the national league.

“We want to bring back the glory of Air Warriors. We were among the few clubs that brought pride to the Savannah Conference, and we are determined to achieve even greater success,” he said.

Also speaking, Air Warriors Head Coach, Abajih Peninah, described Alhaji Solademi as a passionate and supportive basketball administrator who has continued to invest in the growth of women’s basketball in Nigeria.

“As we all know, Air Warriors has continued to do well in Nigerian basketball. Today, we are here as a team to celebrate Salah with our chairman, who has always supported us and stood by the team,” she said.

She described the Salah celebration as a period of love, bonding, unity, and happiness, urging Nigerians to continue showing care and support for one another.

“Basketball is a team game, and for us to succeed, we must continue to relate well with each other. This celebration is another opportunity for us to bond together as a family and share love and happiness,” Peninah added.

She also called on Nigerians to embrace peace, unity, and mutual understanding for the growth and development of the country.
