Wike Flags Off Construction Of 10.5km Access Road In Karsana District

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike has flagged off construction of total of 10.5km access roads which comprises of N11, N16, N40 and SILS 03 all within the Karsana District of the nation’s capital.

The roads which would service the Renewed Hope Housing Estate within the district according to the Minister is expected to be completed in 18 months.

While flagging off the construction of the roads on Friday, Wike explained that it would go a long way in enhancing rapid development of district in line with the President Bola Tinubu’s administration of Renewed Hope Agenda.

He also stated that the roads when completed would boost the real estate development and other economic activities within Karsana District.

The Minister noted that the provision of access roads is critical to the rapid and sustainable development of any city.

He assured the contractor handling the project of availability of funds, to enable the prompt execution of the project for the interest of the residents.

In a vote of thanks, the Acting Head of Service FCT, Nancy S. Nathan, said it is a strategic intervention that will ease traffic congestion by providing a vital link between Karsana District and other parts of the city, thereby boosting commercial and residential development; and ultimately contribute to the growth of Abuja as a modern city.

She reiterated that the FCT Administration remains resolute in delivering projects that touch lives, promote economic growth, and leave enduring legacies for generations to come.
