Tinubu Arrives in Saint Lucia

President Bola Tinubu arrived in Vieux Fort, Saint Lucia, on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. local time, commencing the first leg of his two-nation diplomatic tour across the Caribbean and South America.

Upon his arrival at Hewanorra International Airport, the Nigerian leader was welcomed with full military honours by Saint Lucia’s Governor-General, Cyril Errol Melchiades Charles, and Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre.

According to a statement released by Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu will begin his official engagements on Sunday with courtesy visits to both the Governor-General and the Prime Minister.

On Monday, he is scheduled to address a special joint session of Saint Lucia’s Senate and House of Assembly at the William Jefferson Clinton Ballroom, located at Sandals Grande in Gros Islet.
