Former Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has commiserated with the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, over the death of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani, aged 83.
In a condolence message on Monday evening, Aliyu described the late patriarch as not only a pillar of strength to the Ahmed’s family but also a respected figure in Kogi State.
“With a heavy heart, I extend my condolences to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo over the passing of your beloved father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani. Losing a parent is one of life’s most painful experiences, and I can only imagine the depth of your grief,” she stated.
She further noted that, “His life was marked by humility, wisdom, and dedication to community values that have touched many lives, and his legacy will continue to live through you and the countless people he positively influenced.”
The former minister, who hails from Kogi State, said the loss was not just personal to the Ododo family but to the entire state. “As a daughter of Kogi State, I share in your pain and loss. Our state mourns with you, and together we celebrate the impactful life your father lived. His passing is a great loss, not just to your family, but to the entire Kogi community,” she added.
While praying for the repose of the late elder statesman, Aliyu expressed confidence that his memory would remain evergreen.
“I pray that the Almighty Allah grants you and your family the fortitude to bear this profound loss, and may He forgive the shortcomings of your father and grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.”
She assured Governor Ododo of her sympathy and support during this period of mourning.
