National Women Leader of the City Boy Movement, Hajia Ummusalma Rabiu, has welcomed the appointment of Sophie Uzodimma as Deputy National Women Leader, describing it as a bold step toward strengthening women’s participation in politics across the country.
Haja Rabiu said the appointment points to the movement’s commitment to inclusion, leadership, and results.
“Sophie Uzodimma is capable and committed. Her appointment will strengthen our structure and energise women across Nigeria,” she said.
She noted that the development sends a clear message that women remain central to the movement’s growth and political strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The National Women Leader also commended the Grand Patron, Barr. Seyi Tinubu, and the Director General, Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, for providing purposeful leadership and aligning the movement with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to her, the leadership of the movement has continued to build a strong bridge between government policies and grassroots mobilisation.
Ummusalma expressed confidence that Uzodimma will mobilise women across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCF, deepen grassroots engagement, and expand support for the All Progressives Congress ahead of 2027.
She called on members of the City Boy Movement nationwide to rally behind the new Deputy National Women Leader and work in unity to advance the movement’s objectives.
