Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde on Wednesday inaugurated the newly-dualised 5.9 kilometer Akobo Ojuirin–Olorunda Abaa road in Ibadan.

Makinde, who was represented at the occasion by his deputy, Mr Bayo Lawal, said that his administration’s steadfastness and commitment to inclusive development has continued to transform the landscape of the state.

“This strategic linkage is more than just a road; it is a lifeline that will open up our rural communities, stimulate trade, ease transportation, and uplift the quality of life of our people”” he stated.

Makinde said that the landmark project was executed under the leadership of the chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Mr Kamorudeen Mudashiru.

He commended the leadership of the Lagelu LG for the completion of the project.

NAN also reports that the road was named after Archbishop Ayo Ladigbolu in recognition of his contributions to the development of the state.

The road is complemented  with solar-powered street lighting, drainage systems, and tarred adjoining access roads to enhance connectivity and safety.
