Ogun Commissioner Commends First Lady For Advocating Women’s Empowerment, Child’s Protection.

Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in Ogun State, Hon. Motunrayo Adeleye has commented the State’s First Lady, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun, for championing women empowerment and Child Protection through the Ajose Foundation.

Adeleye, who stated this during a special event to mark her birthday at the juvenile Correctional Centre, Asero, lauded Mrs. Abiodun for her kind gesture in showing concern for women empowerment and child protection especially the vulnerable in the state.

“Your Excellency, your life transcends ceremonial titles. Through the Ajose Foundation and your unwavering support for our Ministry, you have redefined advocacy as a daily act of touching lives, restoring hope, and building communities,” She said.

The Commissioner said the first had embarked on numerous initiatives aim at uplifting women in the society, educating a girl child as well as championing social welfare where special needs were given to children at correctional centres to aid their dreams in future.

Speaking Mrs. Abiodun thanked the commissioner and other dignitaries who came to celebrate her birthday with her at the Juvenile Correctional Centre, Asero, reassured that she would continue to support policies that would enhance women’s employment and child protection rights

“I remain committed to initiatives that will promote equity, empower women, and protect the rights of children, particularly those with special needs,” she noted.

Dignitaries at the event, including the Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Ajayi Bolanle; Special Adviser to the Governor on Trade, Mrs. Oluwayemisi Dawodu; her counterpart in the Ministry of Women Affairs, Mrs. Lawal Olanbiwoninu; and the Permanent Secretary, Hospital Management Board, Dr. Olayinka Elemide, also praised the First Lady’s consistent support for government policies geared towards uplifting women and protecting children.
