Former member of the House of Representatives and current member of the Governing Board of the African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU), Abuja, Hon. Chidi Nwogu, on Thursday congratulated the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, on his emergence as Governor of the Year at the LEADERSHIP Annual Conference and Awards 2025 held in Abuja.
Governor Uzodinma received the prestigious award alongside five other governors: Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, and Senator Uba Sani of Kaduna State.
Hon. Nwogu described the honour as a well-deserved recognition of Governor Uzodinma’s unwavering commitment to the growth, transformation, and sustainable development of Imo State.
He noted that the award reflects the governor’s dedication to good governance, infrastructural development, and policies aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
According to him, the recognition also underscores Governor Uzodinma’s contributions to national development and his role in strengthening democratic leadership in Nigeria.
He further commended LEADERSHIP Newspaper for identifying and celebrating deserving leaders across the country, stating that such recognition serves as motivation for public office holders to remain committed to excellence and service delivery.
Hon. Nwogu expressed confidence that Governor Uzodinma would continue to justify the confidence reposed in him and sustain efforts toward advancing the progress of Imo State and Nigeria as a whole.
