Kaduna Information Commissioner Resigns Voluntarily

Professor Muhammad Sani Bello has voluntarily resigned his position as Kaduna State Commissioner for Information.

In a letter addressed to the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Professor Bello stated that his resignation takes effect from July 29. 

He referenced his appointment via letter number GHIKDISI171 dated July 27, 2023, which formally inducted him as a commissioner and Executive Council member under Governor Uba Sani’s administration.

Initially posted to the Ministry of Education, Bello served in that capacity until May 2025 when he was redeployed to lead the newly reintroduced Ministry of Information. 

He was tasked with piloting its establishment and operational take-off.

A seasoned professional in accounting and finance, Professor Bello has a rich background spanning banking, financial control, academia and public service.

He also played a significant role in the political landscape of the state, having served as the director-general of the Kaduna State 2023 APC Campaign Council.

In his resignation letter, he expressed profound gratitude to Governor Sani for the confidence reposed in him and the opportunity to serve in multiple strategic capacities within the administration.
