The FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has said it is working assiduously towards ensuring hitch free 2026 Hajj exercise.
This was disclosed by its Director, Mallam Kadiri Edah while receiving the new coordinator in charge of North Central Zone of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Hajiya Zainab Mohammed in his office in Abuja.
Mallam Edah disclosed that Board has put adequate mechanism in place to actualize the success of the forthcoming Hajj operation.
He stressed that the Board is mapping out new strategies to assist the pilgrims to attain the desired goal of performing acceptable hajj in 2026.
The Director called for support of the commission in addressing challenges that the Board may encounter during the operation considering the fact that each Hajj operation comes with its peculiar challenges.
In her speech earlier, the new NAHCON’s coordinator for the North Central Zone, Hajiya Zainab Mohammed said the visit was to familiarize herself with the Board and called for support in discharging her assignment in the zone.
Hajiya zainab called for corporation of the FCT in ensuring hitch free Hajj exercises for the benefit of Nigerians who would be part of the contingent to holyland of Saudi Arabia for the religious obligation.
She emphasised the commitment of the Commission in ensuring remarkable hajj operations in feature and called for the support of the Director and staff of the Board in each operation.
The registration of intending Pilgrims, camping activities, airlifting of pilgrims are among the issues discussed at the meeting.
