Foundation, N’Assembly Members Collaborate For Nigeria’s Socio-economic Development

Chairman, Poverty Alleviation Trust Foundation, Chief Eze Chimuka, has said that his organisation and two serving members of the National Assembly are set to work with a view contributing in the quest for attaining socio-economic development in Nigeria.

Chimuka, said the federal lawmakers are House of Representatives members, Honourable Lekon Jafaru representing Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency, Bauchi State and Honourable Adam Ahmed Saba Representing Adu/Moro/Patigi Federal.

According to the chairman of the Foundation, the focus of the collaboration include key developmental areas that will make a change in the lives of Nigerians.

In this vein, areas of interest includes poverty alleviation, agriculture, food security, among others.

Chimuka, while speaking shortly after a meeting at the National Assembly Complex, said some Chinese experts are already in Abuja and in discussion with the lawmakers on implementation of the collaboration.

He specifically said 774 Nigerians, one each from all the local government areas in the country, comprising males and females, would be undergoing free training in those areas that have always been a challenge for the country.

Hon. Jafaru and Hon. Sara who are in charge of the China/Nigeria relationship were at the meeting alongside a representative of the Speaker, House of Representatives and other dignitaries.

The training will also include teachers, Journalists and lawyers, among other professionals.
