FROM RAHILA ABDULLAHI, KADUNA

As part of activities marking the second anniversary of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, Queen Adenike Tejuosho Foundation has empowered 30 vulnerable women with N100,000 each in Babban Saura community, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The event, held at Government Secondary School, Babban Saura, yesterday, also featured a special interfaith prayer session for peace, progress and the successful leadership of President Tinubu.

The prayer session was jointly led by an Islamic cleric, Mallam Abubakar Liman, and Christian cleric, Pastor Gabriel Luka, in what the organisers described as a demonstration of national unity and collective responsibility for Nigeria’s future.

Founder of the foundation, Dr Halimat Tejuosho said the empowerment initiative aligns with President Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’, adding that women’s economic upliftment is central to national development.

Represented  by the foundation’s Kaduna Coordinator, Dr Zainab Danlami, Tejuosho said the foundation remains committed to addressing poverty, illiteracy and social exclusion, particularly among women and other vulnerable citizens.

“Today’s programme is our modest way of contributing to the national rebirth agenda of President  Tinubu. These 30 women receiving N100,000 each will have a new lease of life and we trust that they will make productive use of the funds,” she said.

In separate remarks, the two clerics urged Nigerians to support the current administration with prayers and constructive contributions, stressing that peace, justice and inclusiveness remain vital to Nigeria’s progress.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke with newsmen expressed joy over the intervention, describing it as timely and impactful.
