Delta State governor, Sheriff Oborevwori said his administration is committed to addressing the developmental needs of various communities.

The governor gave the assurance Tuesday while presenting staff of office to the Ovie of Igbide Kingdom in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Patrick Okpomor Agree I.

Oborevwori, who was represented by his Deputy, Monday Onyeme, said government would explore sustainable solutions, including palliative measures and infrastructural development, to alleviate the impact of flooding and enhance the quality of life for citizens in various flood-prone areas of the state.

He added that the annual loss of harvest and the submersion of properties is heart-wrenching.

Oborevwori congratulated the monarch on his ascension to the throne of his forefathers and urged him to bring his wealth of knowledge and global exposure to the noble stool.

The governor called on Igbide Traditional Council, chiefs, Ogbedios, Iletus, women, youths and the entire community to rally round the new monarch.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Isoko South Local Government, Warri Friday noted that royal fathers play important roles in the promotion of peace and security in communities.
