FG Delegation Arrives Ogbomoso Over Abduction of 46 Pupils, Teachers

A high-powered Federal Government delegation has arrived in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, following the abduction of about 46 pupils and teachers from Baptist Nursery and Primary Schools located in the Esiele and Yawota communities of Orire Local Government Area.

The development was disclosed on Sunday by Sunday Dare in a post shared on his X account.

According to Dare, the delegation moved directly to the affected communities after arriving in Ogbomoso to assess the security situation and coordinate ongoing federal response efforts aimed at securing the release of the victims.

The team is led by Femi Gbajabiamila and includes Nuhu Ribadu, Kayode Egbetokun, Christopher Musa, Joseph Tegbe, as well as Sunday Dare, who currently serves as Special Adviser on Public Communications.

Dare stated that President Bola Tinubu had already activated coordinated security measures to facilitate the rescue of the abducted pupils and teachers while ensuring that those responsible for the attack are apprehended.

He revealed that armed men simultaneously attacked the two schools, abducting approximately 46 pupils and teachers during the operation.

According to him, the Federal Government is working closely with security agencies to guarantee the safe return of the victims and intensify efforts to track down the kidnappers.
