All is set for the much-anticipated Grand Finale of the Federal Capital Territory Football Association (FCT FA) League Division One and Division Two Finals, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the Area 3 Football Pitch in Abuja.
After several weeks of intense preparation, thrilling qualifiers, and classification matches, the top teams are ready to battle for the coveted championship titles.
In a statement signed on Monday, the FCT FA Head of Media Committee, Uche Nwudoh Hillary, revealed that a host of dignitaries are expected at the finals, including the Director of Sports, FCT, Luka Istifanus, who will attend as the Special Guest of Honour.
Organized by the FCT FA under the leadership of its Chairman, Alhaji Adam Mouktar Mohammed, the competition has attracted participants and spectators from across the FCT and its environs, showcasing exceptional talent, creativity, and determination on the field of play.
Speaking ahead of the finals, Alhaji Mouktar Mohammed expressed his excitement about the tournament’s success and the high level of performance by the teams.
“We are proud of the incredible effort and excellence shown by all participants. The final promises to be a thrilling showcase of talent. We urge residents to come out in large numbers to support the teams and enjoy the display of football artistry.”
The grand finale promises to be action-packed, with FHA FC taking on ONE TOUCH FC in the Division Two final, while SPORTING DREAM FC will face GOLDEN BOYS FC in the Division One final.
The Division Two final will kick off at 1:00 PM, followed by the Division One final at 3:00 PM. Winners will receive ₦200,000 and ₦300,000 respectively.
With excitement building, the FCT football community looks forward to a thrilling and memorable day of grassroots football excellence.
