The newly appointed Executive Chairman of the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Evangelist Olalekan Ifede, has urged Education Secretaries across the Local Government Education Authorities, board’s management and staff to embrace teamwork for successful administration.

Ifede, who disclosed this at the inauguration and official resumption of duties by the new Board members, said that without unity and teamwork it would be difficult for the new board administration to achieve progress and stability in the state’s education sector.

“Two good heads are better than one. I appeal to all career officers to see themselves as one. Let us work together as a team. I have come with love and where there is love, there is progress,” Ifede stated.

The SUBEB Chairman called on all career officers to ensure they share knowledge together to achieve any tasks, while thanking Governor Dapo Abiodun for the opportunity given to the new board to steer the affairs of SUBEB, pledging to discharge their duties responsibly.

Addressing the board, the Permanent Member III of SUBEB, Hon. Abiodun Ajayi, described the Chairman’s appointment as a reflection of the governor’s trust in his competence, integrity, and leadership abilities.

“We are confident that your wealth of experience, dedication, and visionary leadership will further strengthen the Board’s mandate to provide quality, accessible, and inclusive basic education for children across the state,” Ajayi said.

The Board Secretary, Mr. Olubori Akinleye, pledged his full support and commitment to the continued development of both the Board and basic education in the state.

Earlier, the Director of Administration and Supplies, Mr. Femi Fatade, assured the new Board of unwavering support, loyalty, and a shared resolve to work harmoniously towards the Board’s success.
