Nigerian Grammy-nominated singer David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has shared his emotional reaction after losing at the 2026 Grammy Awards.

In an Instagram post, the artist admitted the defeat hit him hard and left him unwilling to attend the after-party. He revealed that his wife, Chioma, stepped in with encouraging words that helped lift his spirits and restore his confidence.

Davido wrote: “I said baby listen we lost again let’s not go she said ‘Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat’ we outside. My ride or die. She dey my back, active geng.”

He described Chioma as his unwavering supporter, calling her his “ride or die.”
