Boko Haram Kills 1, Abducts 20 Farmers In  Borno

Terrorists suspected to be members of Boko Haram fighters  abducted over 20 onion farmers, including women and children, and killed one person in a fresh attack in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.

The accident occurred at Malari village  in Konduga Local Government Area, in the early hours of Friday.

A relative of one of the victims told AljazirahNigeria that 20 onion farmers who go out daily to work on the farm to earn a living were abducted by the terrorists.

“One person who resisted the abduction was killed,” the source said.

The recent attack came days after a similar incident in the same community, where at least eight farmers were abducted. 

Another source from one of the families confirmed that most of the victims were working as labourers on the farm.

As at press time both the military and the Borno State Police Command had not issued a statement regarding the latest attack.
