Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday led a delegation on a condolence visit to the Katsina State governor, Dikko Radda, following the demise of his mother, Hajiya Safara’u Baribari.
Reflecting on the matriarch’s remarkable life, Abubakar said “living for 93 years is a rare blessing, one that we deeply cherish. Of course, we never want to lose our loved ones, but ultimately, that is the reality of life.”
Also speaking, Borno State governor, Babagana Zulum represented by his Deputy, Umar Kadafur, said “on behalf of Zulum and the people of Borno State, we stand with you during this difficult time.”
Former governor of Katsina State, Ibrahim Shehu Shema, former Minister of Agriculture, Adamu Waziri, Chokalin Adamawa, Jamilu Yola, former Senator representing Katsina Central, Umaru Tsauri, Senator Ahmed Kaita of Daura Zone, Aminu Balele, Abdullahi Aliyu and Architect Usman Banye, member representing Kurfi/Dutsinma, Musawa/Matazu and Rimi/Charanchi respectively also conveyed their condolences.
Responding, the Deputy Governor, Faruk Jobe expressed gratitude on behalf of the governor, the government and the people of Katsina State for the visit and prayers.
Jobe acknowledged the solidarity shown by the visiting dignitaries, noting that their presence in the state means a lot to the governor and the people.
