Delta To Prioritise Access To Clean Water  In Rural Communities

General Manager of Delta Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, RUWASSA, Mr Clement Adiotomre has emphasised the need to prioritise access to clean and safe water in rural communities.

Adiotomre said this in a statement Tuesday signed by  the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Water Resources Development, Mrs Stella Agbeyeke.

He made the remarks during the 2025 World Water Day celebration, with the theme ‘Glacier Preservation.’

Adiotomre stated that World Water Day serves as a reminder of the importance of water and the need for access to clean and safe drinking water.

He stressed that water is a basic human right and a vital resource for life. He urged rural communities to work together to protect and conserve water sources.

He reiterated the necessity for rural communities to have access to clean and safe water, highlighting its impact on health and well-being.

Also, the Director of RUWASSA, Mr Sunday Eyasere,  emphasised the need to protect, conserve and preserve water sources for economic growth and healthy living.

He stated that water is life and must be protected and prioritised. While Nigeria lacks glaciers, he noted that glacier preservation remains a critical global issue. (NAN)
