The National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Dayo Israel, has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON, on his renomination as the party’s vice-presidential candidate for the 2027 general election, describing the decision as a deserved recognition of competence, loyalty and exemplary service.
Speaking on behalf of the APC National Youth Wing and millions of young party members across the country, Israel said Shettima’s renomination alongside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, reflects the party’s confidence in a tested partnership that has provided purposeful leadership under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to him, the Vice President has, over the past three years, distinguished himself through unwavering loyalty, exceptional dedication and effective leadership, contributing significantly to the administration’s achievements and strengthening governance.
“Senator Kashim Shettima has consistently demonstrated intellect, experience, humility and an unwavering commitment to national development. His calm disposition, steady leadership and relentless engagement across sectors have inspired confidence within government, our party and among Nigerians,” he said.
Israel noted that in politics, loyalty remains a vital virtue, while competence is indispensable in leadership, adding that Shettima embodies both qualities.
He described the Vice President’s renomination as a powerful affirmation that the APC continues to reward character, teamwork, performance and dedicated service.
Reflecting on the submission of nomination forms on behalf of the National Working Committee in Abuja, Israel said the moment represented more than the endorsement of a joint ticket, but also the reaffirmation of a partnership committed to delivering sustainable development and national progress.
He pledged the unwavering support of the APC Youth Wing for President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima as they seek another mandate to continue efforts at strengthening the economy, creating opportunities for young Nigerians, promoting national unity and advancing the country’s development.
