The trouble began earlier this week when DJ Chicken uploaded a video addressing the upcoming 2027 presidential elections. In the recording, the content creator used strong language and issued explicit threats against the life of the President’s son, warning him regarding political dynamics in the country.As the video quickly gained traction across various social media platforms, drawing intense public condemnation, the influencer released a follow-up video attempting to backtrack.
In the apology video, a visibly panicked DJ Chicken claimed the initial remarks were mere “content” designed to generate views and income, and openly begged Seyi Tinubu for forgiveness Speaking to reporters, DJ Chicken’s legal representative, Rotimi Stephen, confirmed that his client was apprehended in the Ikeja area of Lagos State.According to the lawyer, the entertainer was initially taken to the Ikeja Police Headquarters. However, due to the sensitive nature of national security and threats against members of the first family, the Department of State Services (DSS) has taken over the primary handling of the investigation.”We are currently managing his situation,” Stephen stated, adding a plea of mercy to the presidency.
