Show Love, Kindness To Less Privileged, Abdulsalam Urges Muslims

Former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar rtd, has advised the Muslim Ummah to continue to assist one another and show love and kindness to the less privileged as enshrined in the Holy Quran.

Abdulsalam, who stated this after observing the two Raka a’at prayer during the Eid-el-Fitr prayer in Minna, appealed to Muslims to put into practice what they learnt during Ramadan.

General Abubakar also urged them to forgive one another as a sign of love, saying it will enhance peace and tranquillity among themselves. 

In his remarks, the Niger State governor, Mohammed Bago congratulated Muslims for the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and charged youthsto be orderly and desist from any act capable of disrupting the celebration of Eid.

Represented by his Deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba, who said the governor is in town and will later be at the palace of the Emir of Minna, Dr Umar Bahago to attend the durbar. 

Also speaking, former Governor Babangida Aliyu reminded the Muslim faithful that out of the five pillars of Islam, it is only fasting that Allah said is his own and will reward each person that engages in it accordingly. 

He, however, implored Muslims to give Zakat fitr to the needy to enable them have something to feed their family on sallah day.
