We’ll Not Accept Injustice In Katsina – PDP Faction

Date:

A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Katsina State says it will not accept any form of injustice in the forthcoming State Congress scheduled for July 27.

Dr Mustapha Inuwa, the former Director-General, D-G, of Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign, stated this during a stakeholders’ meeting in Katsina, yesterday.

According to Inuwa, together with other concerned party stakeholders, they will do everything within the party’s rules to ensure that justice is done.

He assured, “We cannot fold our arms to allow a single person to structure the party with thousands of members in the state.

“Hence, party supporters should exercise more patience as everything is going to be resolved. They should be more assured that justice must be done for each member of the party.

“We are not supporting consensus, any member with interest to contest, should be given the opportunity to exercise his or her right”.

The former Secretary to the Katsina State Government also alleged that at the national level, the All Progressives Congress, APC, was indirectly controlling the PDP.

“Yes, because the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Mr Nyesom Wike is now controlling the PDP, and he’s a member of the APC now”, he alleged.

He, therefore, said they would not accept such development in Katsina, appealing to all the supporters in the state to exercise more patience, saying, ”everything will be resolved before the congress”.

The faction had alleged that the party’s gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 General Elections in the state, Sen. Lado Danmarke, has hijacked the processes of the forthcoming congress.

NAN recalls that the PDP major stakeholders and the state caretaker committee led by Danmarke have been at loggerhead over the sales of congress’s forms.

While the group claimed that they were denied purchase of the forms, the state caretaker committee also denied the allegation, pointing an accusing finger at the other faction.

Recently during a visit to Katsina,, the former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, said the forthcoming party congress would resolve the lingering internal crises in the state.

Abubakar added, “There will soon be a congress, so, people will elect whom they want to be their party leaders”. NAN
