Ebonyi State Commissioner for Skills Development and Job Creation, Elijah Udu has charged youths to embrace entrepreneurial and innovative spirit in order to move the state forward.
Udu, who gave the advice at the weekend during the Ebonyi State Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Summit held in Abakaliki, urged them to see themselves as architects of their future.
The summit, which had as theme ‘The Story Behind the Glory ICED Noble’s Young Entrepreneurship Concept,’ was organised by Nobles Young Entrepreneurship Concept, in collaboration with Ebonyi State government, the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, Ministry of Youth Development and Sports, and the Ministry of Skill Development and Job Creation, in partnership with BERWO
The commissioner, who emphasised the importance of youths embracing new knowledge in all its forms and seeking mentorship from those who had walked the path before them encouraged them to find their calling and pursue it with unwavering dedication, and to achieve greatness in their endeavours.
“To our youth, I say this: You are the architects of your future. Do not be confined by the limitations of the past or the constraints of societal expectations. Believe in your potential, embrace the entrepreneurial spirit, and dare to dream big.
“Today, we are here to encourage our youth to create their own paths, to become pioneers in their chosen fields, and to leave indelible marks on the sands of time.Our summit brings together an illustrious panel of speakers—renowned entrepreneurs, captains of industries, career professionals, and exceptional politicians. Each of these individuals has a story to tell, a journey filled with trials and triumphs, challenges and victories. They stand as living proof that success is not a product of one’s background but a testament to one’s resilience, determination, and vision.”
Commending the governor for approving the summit, he extolled the energy the youths brought to the event, saying that the gathering showed the incredible power that lay within the youths to reshape the narrative of Ebonyi State and dismantle age-old stereotypes.
