Alia Urges Benue People To Leverage On Govt Programmes

Benue State governor, Hyacinth Alia has charged the people of the state to take advantage of the numerous opportunities provided by his administration to develop themselves and boost the economy.

Speaking during a thanksgiving mass in his honour by the Catholic Men Organisation, CMO, of St John Cathedral Gboko, Governor Alia disclosed that his administration is willing to reach out to different groups, organisations and communities through cooperative societies, advising farmers, medium and small scale enterprises to form cooperative societies to access government support.

He equally restated the resolve of his administration to always support the church and acknowledged the body of Christ for supporting him through sincere prayers to give direction, recalling the St. John’s catholic church Gboko is the first place he started work as a Catholic priest in 1990 where he learnt the act of praying fervently for people.

The governor also maintained that God is always faithful to those who have faith in him and urged the congregation to rely on God as well as make efforts to complement the grace of God in their lives.

He also called on Benue people to join hands with his administration by offering sustained quality prayers, promising to support the parish complete its on going projects and expressed appreciation to the CMO of the parish for the honor done him.

In his sermon, the cathedral administrator, Rev. Fr. Richard Mngbangun called on christians to always keep faith in God who have solutions to all the problems of mankind, stressing that when God finally appear total healing and restoration is witnessed.
