Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has approved the appointment of Alhaji Ismaila Gadaka as the new Emir of Gudi.
This was made known in a statement issued on Saturday by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Baba Mallam Wali, which was made available to AljazirahNigeria in Damaturu.
According to the statement, until his appointment, Alhaji Gadaka served as a member of the House of Representatives for Fika/Fune Federal Constituency from 2011 to 2019, and as Commissioner in the Yobe State government between 2007 and 2010.
A banker by profession, he served in both United Bank for Africa, UBA, and Standard Trust Bank, rising to the position of business manager.
The new monarch currently serves as chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal College of Education, Yawuri, Kebbi State, and chairman of the Local Government Project Monitoring and Evaluation Committee.
Prior to this appointment, he held the traditional title of Yariman Gudi.
Buni expressed confidence that the new Mai Gudi would bring his wealth of experience and track record in public service and traditional leadership to bear in advancing the progress and prosperity of Gudi Emirate.
