BIPC To Invest In Low Cost Housing Scheme For Civil Servants, Others

Benue Investment and Property Company, BIPC, Limited has concluded plans to commence construction of additional housing units at Nyor Gyungu in Makurdi the state capital.

Group Managing Director, BIPC Limited, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha who announced this during an interaction with journalists at the NUJ House in Makurdi, said the project would be delivered within six months. 

He disclosed that the new housing units would be given out to civil servants at an affordable rate of N12 million in order to breach the housing deficit in the state.

The Group Managing Director of BIPC Limited also revealed to journalists that another 30 hectare land has been acquired along Gboko road near the new brewery, brewers of Zeva lager beer to build another housing estate for Benue people.

According to him the efforts were being done by the present administration to make housing affordable to all category of Benue citizens.

He called on journalists in the state to always project the laudable efforts of Governor Hyacinth Alia in positive perspective equally appealing that the media cross check fact before going to press to avoid peddling falsehood.

In a remark, Chairman NUJ Benue Council, Bemdoo Ugber, expressed appreciation to the BIPC managing Director for interacting with journalists acknowledging his efforts towards adding value to the Alia administration.

Ugber also pledged support of journalists in the state for the present administration to succeed.
