Prominent Yobe Indigene Commends Buni’s Development Strides

A prominent Yobe State indigene, Barrister Shuaibu Maina Birma, has commended Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni on his transformational
projects across the state

In a press statement made available to journalists in Abuja, Birma praised the Governor for making Yobe State one among the fastest developing states in the North

According to him, Yobe has now become a commercial hub for businesses as economic activities have revived great boost with the massive infrastructural projects in roads, electricity, construction of modern markets and huge investments in agriculture and rural/urban inter-connectivity

The lawyer, who recently retired as a Permanent Secretary, Directorate of Human Resources from National Assembly and practices law in Abuja, listed some of the iconic projects executed by Governor Buni, as including, a 3,600 housing units across the state. empowering thousands of farmers through massive distribution of tractors, and farm inputs to boost agricultural activities in the state

In the area of roads, he said that governor Buni has constructed hundreds of kilometres of roads with drainages across all the seventeen local governments, with Damaturu, the state capital looking like a brand new city

The ex-permanent secretary who said that he recently returned to Abuja from Yobe, stated that most of the towns and villages are now connected to the national grid and enjoying regular power supply due to the efforts of the state Governor

Buni, has revolutionised the health sector with the procurement and installation of latest equipment in health care institutions and hospitals and health care centres across the State and the newly created Yobe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency, YSCHMA, that enabled easy access to medical treatment and effective service delivery at heavily subsidised costs for government workers and at no any cost for the people living in the rural areas, he said.

According to him, the people of Yobe state are delighted with the transformation of the State and praised the Governor for the judicious use of the State resources.
