All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benue State has clarified that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Sen. George Akume, has not resigned from his position.
This clarification comes after several calls and messages were received by the party regarding Akume’s status.
In a statement at the weekend in Makurdi, signed by Dan-Morgan Ihomun, Publicity Secretary of APC in the Austin Agada led faction of the party in Benue State, emphasized that Akume still remains in his capacity as the SGF.
He said the Secretary to the Government of the Federation,SGF,Dr. Akume is fully committed and is actively carrying out his duties in service to the nation.
The party urged the public to disregard any rumors or misinformation to the contrary.
