APC Udu Ward 9 Holds Familiarisation Meeting

 All Progressives Congress ,APC, in Ward 9 (Orhuwhorun), Udu Local Government Area of Delta State has convened a familiarisation meeting to unite old and new party members and also passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

The event, which highlighted a renewed spirit within the party, took place on Sunday and provided a platform for members to establish connections and consolidate their political strategies.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the APC Udu LGA Ward 9, Mr. Owhode Tokpaberire, expressed his delight at the turnout and the unity demonstrated among party members.

He noted that since the mass defection of former members of the Peoples Democratic Party ,PDP, to the APC, there had been a stark absence of opportunities for existing and new members to engage in person.

Tokpaberire emphasized the importance of the meeting as a means for members to familiarize themselves with one another, fostering camaraderie and unity.

Hon. Peter Uviejitibor, the Delta State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, played a pivotal role during the meeting, moving a motion for a vote of confidence in President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori.

Uviejitibor’s address detailed the administration’s numerous achievements, including transformative policies aimed at uplifting the state’s infrastructural landscape and improving public welfare.

He praised Tinubu’s leadership and vision for the nation, calling on party members to rally behind the president as he continues to steer Nigeria toward progress.

The motion was seconded by Hon. Saturday Mofoye, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters.

Mofoye reiterated the substantial impact that both leaders have on the citizens of Nigeria, particularly in areas of economic growth and community development.

His endorsement served to invigorate the enthusiasm of party members present, underscoring their commitment to the APC’s objectives in Udu LGA Ward 9.

Also Hon. Collins Egbetama, member of the Delta State House of Assembly representing Udu Constituency and Hon. Harvest Igben, former Member DTHA, expressed joy over the meeting, saying that with the entry of the new members into the APC, opposition is no longer in Udu Ward 9.

They urged members present to embrace themselves as one united family for better outing come 2027.

Also, Hon. Collins Egbetama, a member of the Delta State House of Assembly representing Udu Constituency, and Hon. Harvest Igben, a former member of the DTHA, expressed joy over the meeting, saying that with the entry of new members into the APC, the opposition is no longer a concern in Udu Ward 9.

They urged the members present to embrace one another as a united family for a better outcome in 2027.

Among the notable attendees were prominent party figures, including Mr. Valentine Onojeghuo, the State Publicity Secretary of the APC; Elder Sam Ughujohwovwo, Executive Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters; Mr. Paul Avwerosuoghene Krima ,aka, Okoloko Papa,, SSA to the Governor on Entertainment; Hon. Onajite Omovie Oputu, Vice Chairman, Udu LG Council; Hon. Oscar Okoro, Councilor DSIEC Ward 15; Hon. Thankgod Agolokigho, Councilor DSIEC Ward 16; and Hon. Roseline Efevwerhan, Councilor DSIEC Ward 17.
