Ebonyi state government has inaugurated a 5-man committee led by Mr Enyinnaya Eni to look into the remote and immediate cause of the collapse of the ongoing 3 storey building at plot 32 Udensi (Nnodo housing estate) in Abakaliki.
The committee is expected to come up with suggestions and solutions to forestall the future occurrences of building collapse in Ebonyi state.
Addressing the newly inaugurated committee, the Ebonyi state governor represented by the state Commissioner for Capital City and Urban Development, Mr Sunday Inyima warned against sabotaging the work and challenged members to be sincere and diligent in carrying out the given assignment.
Inyima, who gave the committee two weeks to report to the office directed the team to be open with contributions that would help them come up with a reliable finding that would help to curb the ugly menace in the state.
Aljazirah Nigeria reports that those in the committee are: Mr Enyinnaya Eni,COREN Chairman, Chinaza Nwekete, Mrs Esther Nwite, Secretary, Mr Ugbo Obasi, member, and Mrs Cordelia Agbo, member.
