FROM SAMSON ALFA, MINNA
A member of the National Assembly representing Lavun, Edati and Mokwa, Federal Constituency, Dr Joshua Audu Gana, said that sentiment of any sort has been the bane of development in Nigeria.
Joshua stated this in his goodwill Sallah message to the people of his constituencies yesterday, while praising the people of his constituency for their tolerance and support despite religious differences.
“I am convince that the people of zone ‘A’, particularly Lavun, Edati and Mokwa constituencies, and the entire Niger South are true brothers and sisters who I can vouch for an unbiased Unity and sincerity in their political disposition.”
The federal lawmaker acknowledged that no doubt unity and love has come to stay amongst the people of the constituencies regardless of religion, to foster progress and development in the Zone.
Gana urged Muslim faithfuls to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir with love, peace and unity as exemplified by the entire Nupe Kingdom that recognises unity and peace as essential tools to overcome current challenges.
He admonished traditional institutions in the country to emulate the exemplary style of leadership of the Etsu Nupe, Alh Yahaya Abubakar who inculcates peace, tolerance and unity amongst the people of his domain.
According to him, such values if embraced by traditional rulers in the country, Nigeria would become a better and greater Nation as we have no other Nation than Nigeria.
Gana also acknowledged the cordial relationship between the Executive and legislative arm and commended his colleagues at the National Assembly, particularly the speaker, Hon Tajudeen Abbas for their support through robust legislature, contributing to the nation’s peace and unity.Â
The lawmaker however praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to national development, saying that his exemplary leadership has brought peace, progress, and development to the country.
