Infrastructure: Olu Of Owode-Ede Lauds Governor AdelekeĀ

A traditional ruler in Osun State, the Olu of Owode-Ede, His Royal Highness, Oba Oyedepo Abdulazeez Nureni, yesterday commended Governor Ademola Adeleke’s led administration for building sustainable infrastructures in Owode-Ede town as well as entire Osun State.

The Olu of Owode-Ede who gave the commendation in a statement made available to newsmen by his media team yesterday praised the efforts of Governor Adeleke towards fulfilling his electoral promises.

The Olu of Owode-Ede who was highly elated over the construction of befitting drainages, culverts and rehabilitation of the roads from the Central Mosque to Araromi area, Sawmill and Grammar, among others in the ancient Owode-Ede community said entire residents are well pleased with the Governor over his monumental achievements within the space of  two years in office.

Oba Nureni, who appreciated his Chiefs, and all the residents of Owode-Ede for their unalloyed support and love to him since he assumed the throne described the rehabilitated roads in the town by the incumbent administration as a major project which impact on the economy and social well-being of the people would be seriously felt.

The Olu of Owode-Ede who appealed to Governor Adeleke not to relent in extending more dividends of democracy to the residents of Owode-Ede community emphasised that such project would open more channels for business improvement and easy transportation of farm produce, adding that it would connect his people to the urban centres.

The monarch, who bemoaned the epileptic power supply to the area by the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company ,IBEDC, called for the intervention of the Governor, saying the poor power supply has crippled the economy of the area as most of the  business owners who could no longer  afford the huge amount of the money incurred on the fuel as the last option have opted to abandon their business.

The Olu of Owode-Ede, however, used the medium to call on the residents of the town to be law abiding, shun crisis and go about their businesses as Owode-Ede is known for complete peaceful environment.
