A former Big Brother Naija contestant, Leo Dasilva has openly discussed how the death of his mother profoundly altered his outlook on life.
In a recent reflection, he emphasised the importance of cherishing life and prioritising personal happiness.
He stated, “Everyone will live their lives to the fullest eventually and find a way to survive when you’re gone. You must enjoy your life while you still can and not sacrifice every part of you. It can never be fully appreciated.”
His mother’s passing in 2018 deeply affected him, leading to a period of depression. Despite the grief, Leo felt compelled to focus on financial responsibilities, particularly in supporting his younger brother.
He shared, “I was depressed, but I knew there was no time to grieve. I needed to make money — I have a younger brother and I want to provide a great life for him.”
This experience has reshaped Leo’s perspective, highlighting the transient nature of life and the necessity of finding joy amidst personal challenges.
He now advocates for living authentically and ensuring one’s own well-being, recognizing that life continues for others after one’s passing.
