….. hails his Public Service records

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Mark Okoye on the occasion of his 40th birthday, describing him as a dedicated public servant whose contributions continue to inspire confidence in Nigeria’s future.
The President’s message was contained in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, and made available to journalists in Abuja.
According to the statement, Tinubu also commended Okoye for his commitment to national development and his remarkable achievements in public office.
The statement further informed that before his appointment as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the South-East Development Commission (SEDC), Okoye has served as the Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency.
He also held key positions as Special Adviser to the Governor of Anambra State and later as Commissioner for Economic Planning, Budget and Development Partners.
President Tinubu applauded Okoye’s 14 years of unblemished service, highlighting his resilience, passion, and dedication to advancing the public good.
He, however urged the SEDC boss not to relent in his efforts to effectively steer the commission and deliver on its mandate of driving development across the South-East region.
Meanwhile, President Tinubu has also described Okoye as part of a new generation of transformative leaders adding that the nation’s future remains bright with innovative young Nigerians serving in strategic positions.
President Tinubu joined the celebrant’s family, friends and associates in wishing him a happy 40th birthday, good health and renewed strength for greater service to the nation.
