Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator George Akume has explained that Nigeria’s problems did not start with the administration of Bresident Bola Tinubu.

Akume, who spoke Sunday at a special service to mark the 65th Independence Day celebration  at the National  Ecumenic Centre in Abuja, stated that Tinubu had commenced robust reforms to address some of the challenges.

Noting that every Nigerian has a role to play in building the nation, Akume said “each Nigerian has a role in building the Nigeria that we deserve.”

The former Benue State governor also reiterated the commitment of President Tinubu to transform the nation, noting some of the reforms that the president has embarked upon, including the removal of subsidy among others.

“The president needs the support of every Nigerian. What President  Tinubu is doing today could have been done 39 years ago. But, I believe that at the end of the tunnel, there is light,” he said.
