Man, 24,  Hangs Self To Death In Ebonyi

Ebonyi State Police Command said a 24-year-old man, Joshua Kosoro committed suicide at Umuogodo Akpu in Ohaukwu Local Government Area.

The state police spokesman, SP Joshua Ukandu, who confirmed the incident to journalists in Abakaliki yesterday, said the incident occurred on Sunday, November 16.

According to the spokesman, “On Sunday, Joshua Kosoro from Umuogodo Akpu community, Ohaukwu Local Government Area, who was based in Lagos came to Ebonyi and told his relatives that he was hearing strange voices.

“He said  the voices talk to him and always ask him to do strange things.

“The relatives went out to look for solution to the issue; as everyone was away from the house he stayed back; before they could comeback, they saw that he had hanged himself to death.

“Officers of the command visited the scene and the body was taken to the hospital, where he was certified dead.”

Ukandu said  the report was brought to the command’s table by his relatives, adding that investigation into the incident had commenced.
