Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, a distinguished Kano-based business tycoon and philanthropist, passed away at the age of 94 in the early hours of Saturday, June 28, 2025, in Abuja.
His death was confirmed by his Principal Private Secretary, Mustapha Junaid, via a Facebook post.
Junaid wrote, “Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun. Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun. It is with heavy heart that I announce the passing of our beloved father Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and forgive his shortcomings.”
He added that details of the Janazah (funeral) would be shared later, stating, “The Janazah (funeral) details will be shared later insha Allah.”
