Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 31 persons allegedly engaged in internet fraud in Nasarawa State.
The EFCC, in a statement on its official X platform, said the suspects were arrested yesterday during a coordinated operation in Nasarawa Toto, following credible intelligence reports linking them to various cybercrime activities.
According to the commission, several items were recovered from the suspects, including numerous high-end smartphones and laptops believed to have been used in perpetrating online scam.
It added that the suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
