President Bola Tinubu has described the late business mogul, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, as a pillar of the nation whose death remains injurious to Nigerians.

Speaking during a condolence visit to the Dantata family, Tinubu, who was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, said the death was not to the family only, but to Nigerians.

He urged the family to remain united and not be divided, insisting that“if it is wealth, the owner of the wealth has gone, so this is to say that nothing lasts for ever.

“Treat the name of Dantata with integrity and value which he was known for, uphold his legacy to ensure that things remain as they are in the family and community”.

Dantata died early Saturday, June 29, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, at the age of 94.

His death was confirmed via a Facebook post by his Principal Private Secretary, Mustapha Junaid.

The foremost billionaire philanthropist was laid to rest on Tuesday at Baqiyya Cemetery in Madina, Saudi Arabia, in a deeply moving ceremony attended by top Nigerian dignitaries, religious leaders and members of the Nigerian community in the Kingdom.
